Birthday’s and getting older have never really made a difference to me. I was always a 30 year old trapped in like a 10 year old body – that kinda weird adult child. I found things always improved as I got older.
Well now my son starts pre-school tomorrow. Despite the fact that things are getting better with time. I miss my little guy!! It’s so cool to see him developing into his own little person. All his likes and dislikes. Well…the dislikes tend to be expressed when it comes to food.
Something I have found that has been helping with the fruits and veggies is Simple Green Smoothies. If you don’t know what it is then you gotta check it out! It’s been a savier with my 3 year old eating healthier.
Normally the only words out of his mouth are chicken. This site breaks it down! I got hooked doing one of their 30 day challenges. Fell off the smoothie wagon but now I am in the process of getting the family back on track!
Now with his next step into becoming a true pre-schooler I am taking a step back. One of the benefits that can come from a time of transition is the chance to refocus and evaluate what you really want to accomplish.
I Get 6 Hours a Week – of course minus driving time ;)
Well on the eve of him starting school one thing I have always valued is exercise. I use to be an avid runner. I LOVED it. Peter, however, really wasn’t the kinda guy that was about staying in the gym child care corralled in with the other kids. Despite secretly wishing he would just last for 60 mins it never happened.
I stay motivated by reading and staying in the loop with things I am interested in. Always on the look out for other blogs to check out I found a really neat one on running. Mile Post is run (hehe) by a mommy of 3 and a lady who has done big things with running. Not to mention she has the coolest hashtag #irunthisbody.
With a cool new blog to check out regularly and following the c25k app my new found time is going to be used going to the gym twice a week.
When you find pockets of time how do you enjoy spending it?
